FAQ
The obligations of mediation agencies in the employment of foreign workers are:
- finding an adequate worker according to the client's criteria, carrying out the selection procedure and delivering the necessary documentation
- preparation and submission of all documentation necessary to obtain a permit for temporary residence and work of citizens of third countries
- covering the costs of workers' travel insurance
- obtaining a visa for residence and work in Croatia
– the cost of the plane ticket for the worker
After obtaining a work permit for a foreign worker, when the worker arrives in the Republic of Croatia, it is necessary to provide accommodation and food for the worker.
Accommodation should meet the minimum requirements for a normal life. If it is not possible to provide food, it is necessary to pay the worker a food supplement.
Furthermore, you are obliged to register the worker for pension and health insurance, just like every Croatian worker.
In order to obtain the necessary permits, the conditions are:
- to perform economic activity in an activity registered in the Republic of Croatia
- that you have employed 1/4 of Croatian citizens compared to citizens of third countries, on an indefinite and full-time basis continuously for the last 6 months
- a certificate from the Tax Administration on the absence of debt on the basis of public benefits, which should be more recent than the date of submission of the application for residence and work permits
- that you have not been legally convicted of criminal offenses in the field of labor relations and social security
